Professional Wood Fence Installation for Cinco Ranch Homeowners
Wood Fences are an ideal way to add privacy and safety to your home. Having a wood fence creates a safety barrier for your kids and pets to play freely or make your home more secure. While fences are important, they can quickly become a headache if you choose the wrong fence company. One of the biggest repair issues most homeowners face is a poorly installed fence. When you work with our fence company for your Cinco Ranch fence project you can ensure we adhere to all their rules. These rules were created to ensure your fence is durable, functional, and long-lasting. If you do have a fence where the fence post holes are not deep enough or the contractor did not take into account, the slope of your backyard we can fix wood fences even if we did not install them.
Cedar vs Pressure Treated Yellow Pine
The longest-lasting wood fence that can withstand Fort Bend weather is pressure-treated post and cedar for the above-ground portion of your residential fence. We offer a three-year fence warranty to ensure that if your fence warps from any because of our craftsmanship we will replace the component of the fence at no cost to the homeowner.
Western Red Cedar: This lumber is best used for the board of your wood fence as it does not warp, shrink, or split the way pressure-treated pine will over time. To ensure the bottom of your fence does not touch the ground Cinco Ranch HOA requires a rot board also known as a kicker board be placed along the bottom. In addition, Western Red Cedar due to its tanning oils makes for a better-looking fence. While Cedar is more costly upfront over time it's worth the extra expense as cedar can last up to 30 years or longer without warping.
Pressure Treated Pine: We use Southern yellow pine that has been kiln-dried to remove moisture from the wood. The next treatment is a water-based solution that is forced into the pine fibers using pressure to make the wood very heavy and gives it a dark green appearance. Fences that are pressure treated will not decay, shrink, warp, or split and the chemicals repels insects so that your fence is strong and durable for as long as 20 years. Generally, we prefer to use pressure-treated lumber for the post as they will not decay in the ground as quickly as cedar will.
